Just off the deck of The Oyster Bar on Perdido Key, this magnificent pelican seemed oblivious to the papparazzi. Lunch was a dark roux, shrimp-stuffed bowl of gumbo. Buck and I watched pleasure boats and an occasional barge ply the Intracoastal Waterway, while the wind smoothed our own feathers, as we remembered yet another reason we love the Gulf Coast.
Real world. Virtual world. A blog is a chronicle, a means, not the end. Real world. Virtual world.
The pelican flies. My heart flutters. Real world. The photo is a sweet souvenir of our day.
