Prick of the Spindle, Vol. 3.4

Vol. 3.4 Prick of the Spindle has launched with lots of good reading, just in time for the holidays. See nonfiction section for my story about Gloria, a good-hearted dame with a bar full of miniatures.

  1. I love your story, “Gloria.”
Unexpected generosity such as unusual Gloria displays puts a lump in my throat as well.
Congratulations on another fine piece of your literary workmanship.

  2. “Gloria” is so poignant. I love the structure, too. I can see, hear–and smell!–her. It captures so well how our lives intersect, accidentally, in the midst of doing our own thing, with those of others.

  3. Congratulations on having your story published. It was so realistic. Just a comment..”not hanging your undies out for the neighbors to see”. I had to laugh at the truth of this. A “proper” woman just did not do that! Keep up the good work.

  4. Woo hoo! I recall first seeing this in my “reader” role for Relief and commenting to others how much I liked it. All before I’d “met” you. Gloria is a great character, well-wrought under your skilled hand. Good work, Beth.
