Find A Walkable Place To Live

I love this tool. Plug in any town or address at Walk Score to find out how it rates in terms of “walkability.”

Walkable Neighborhoods blog has an excellent post on what this relatively new buzzword means. Click here to read it.

I’ve been living in a hundred-acre Longleaf pine forest for about seven years in the rural panhandle of Florida. Much as I love walking the fire line paths and photographing wildflowers,  there is some appeal in the thought of living in a more urban setting, where I can be out and about in local bookstores, cafes, and parks. Grass-is-greener syndrome?

Food for thought.
