A Dose of Beauty: the medicine for sleep

I will not avert my eyes. I will not avert my eyes. I will not. I will not. I will cry, but I will not avert my eyes from the pictures in my mind of things that are worrying me, or of the oil-soaked pelicans and other creatures. But, before I can sleep tonight, I must have a dose of beauty. Buck, Maggie and I walked in the soothing woods this afternoon. Maybe these photos will be a balm for you, too. I hope so.

I looked up. Need to do more of that.

Maggie is climbing back out of the stream bed. Old dogs are smart. They know when to take a chill pill and lay behind the log for awhile.

"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matthew 6:34.

Let it go for tonight. Sleep well.

  1. Thank you for the beauty of your site, which is always filled with photographs of calm, natural beauty. I am not averting my eyes, either, but we need to refresh our soul.
I hope your brother is doing better.
