Mud Puddle Maggie

It was a hot, dry day when Maggie left the cool, air-conditioned comfort of the house and went for a walk with Buck and me. She managed to find one small wet area and stretched out on her belly in the mud. Maggie turns 11 next month. Except for some hip dysplasia that has caused her to become more careful when she jumps into the van or over a log, she’s doing great. She may be an old gal, but she still has fire in the belly.

  1. I'm thinking about plopping down in the mud on my belly on this hot and humid day in Southern Wisconsin. Tell Maggie I thank her for the unique idea for relief from the heat.
