Desire in the Twilight of Life – a Wall Street Journal Essay

Did you know that The Wall Street Journal publishes an essay in their Saturday edition? (Yep. It's called: "The Saturday Essay.")

I commend this one to you. It's called "Desire in the Twilight of Life." The author is Mark Lachs, director of geriatrics for the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and professor of clinical medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Lachs is the author of "Treat Me, Not My Age: A Doctor's Guide to Getting the Best Care as You or a Loved One Gets Older."

To illustrate the article, I have chosen a photo of Buck and me from yesterday. We enjoyed a marvelous lunch of grilled crab cakes at The Crab Trap, and asked our kind server, Travis, to snap a photo before we left. For the record, I will turn 60 next June. Buck is 72.  Heaven can wait.
