“Why let Hollywood have all the fun?” The newspaper ad did its job. It caught my attention. There were two line drawings of a woman, presumably “before” and “after.” In the “before” picture, a slender woman was shown discretely from face to belly area. Her tummy was rounded. In the “after” picture, everything was the same, except the woman’s belly was concave.
“Lipo Laser!” The ad copy screamed. “Non-surgical! Only takes one hour!”
I look at my body with its curvy belly and think about turning 60 next year. “Body sculpting” seems like a sad and desperate denial of aging, even if it works. I like my body, just as it is.
