What if your head changed colors with your mood?

The wild turkey gobbler’s head does: red is for fighting; blue is for excitement; white is for love, baby, love.

I guess he’s happy, now. For days, there was a smaller gobbler sniffing around the hens. The big guy had to spend all his time playing keep away.

The 6 hens and gobbler are at the house for hours every day, moving in a slow circle from front yard to back. They no longer fly when I open a door.  When I cranked up the car to run an errand yesterday, they moved off toward the fire line, but I caught them leaning forward and peeking as I drove past.

Thanks for stopping by. What are you writing about today?
