Don’t take someone else’s soundbytes for it: listen to Senator Collins yourself.

When passions are inflamed, fairness is most in jeopardy.

Senator Susan Collins

Below are my cognitive daybook scribbles after watching, reading, and listening to many players on all sides; from a metaphorical Space Station view of earth to the nose-to-nose so close I could count pores on the participants’ noses.  A truly remarkable exercise in democracy.

Senator Susan Collins as a Knight in shining armor, riding her trusty steed,, a bouquet of flowers held high.

Those that respect the law and love sausage should watch neither being made.

Mark Twain

I respectfully disagree with the late Samuel Clemens, our national treasure, Mark Twain. I think we must watch the sausage being made,  sift and sort until we know our own minds and then, if so inclined, speak them.

    1. Thanks, Nick! It’s funny, almost like I caught a good virus, because for years I’ve kept totally bland Moleskine pocket-size or 5×7 daily entry calendars, but when the whole visual journal bug bit me in early September, I’ve gone a little crazy with the pages. I don’t overthink it (like last night, I just sat in bed watching the news and eating chocolate and pulled stuff out of the shoebox I keep cut out word and pictures in and went to town.) So glad you like them. I’ll never go back to my old boring pages 🙂

  1. Hooray! I love a cut-up (in a nice way)! 🙂 I’ve about a fortnight left in my dream diary. Can hardly sleep with the anticipation of getting a new one to ravish! LOL. Have you checked out my photomontage/cut-up page? – give it a whirl when you have a moment.

Thanks for stopping by. What are you writing about today?
